A massive new Fortnite update just rolled out today, bringing several changes. However, the wait for the rumored Dead Space crossover will be longer as there’s no sign of it as of yet. Many leakers have assured the concerned Fortnite players it’s still coming, and that it will be here in the next two weeks.
That’s according to Zatheo (through Hypex), who tweeted all the juicy details about what to expect from the crossover, revealing that the collaboration will bring a pack. It is said that the pack will add in a skin, two backpacks, a new remote, and a pickaxe. Also it will unlock quests that can earn the players up to 1,500 V-Bucks if they can complete them all.
Now the biggest takeaway here is of course, the timeline. Now while many fans were expecting solid news about the Dead Space crossover to be unveiled as a part of today’s update, there’s still nothing official. Zatheo assures Dead Space fans that the crossover will be here within the coming two weeks. Also, a timeline which makes a lot of sense since the highly anticipated remake will be available across numerous platforms just 9 days from now, on 27th January, 2023.
Epic Games will likely officially announce Fortnite’s Dead Space collab in the coming days, and the crossover that will go live to coincide with the remake’s launch. And that has been the case before, with items, challenges, along with the crossover tournaments getting added into the game in the days building to launch a new game, movie, or TV show.
Epic will be hopeful that the Dead Space pack will soon please many Fortnite players after a somewhat troubled start to chapter four. Also, the Shockwave Hammer continues to divide up the players, even after it was briefly removed from the game, and then hurdling still has yet to return to the island after the mechanic unintentionally threw players into the sky.
