When earth facing its greatest threat it has to gather its mightest heros. Marvels finally to meshing its characters in its film adapted universe with thor, iron man and captain america and the incredible hulk ( sadly they got rid of edward norton and replaced him with some guy that make angry expressions like derek zoolanders famous blue steel ) anywho I thought this trailer looks pretty cool even though I thought iron man 2 and thor were kinda of a disapointment and its pretty much the only movie im excited for right now other than the new batman coming out.
Why have I only just noticed this thread?! The Avengers is definitely one of the movies I'm REALLY looking forward to next year. I've been catching up again with Iron Man, Hulk etc. and went to see Captain America a couple of months ago. Its scary how excited my friend is for The Avengers though, she knows so much about superhero movies! XD
No Ed Norton as Hulk?? Fail... So basically it's just going to be Iron Man 3? Unfortunately for the rest of the cast, Robert Downey Jr. completely steals every scene he's in, no matter what movie. He's also the only actor that I believe fits his role, with the exception of Scarlett Johanssen as Widow. I wasn't a big fan of either the Captain America or Thor movies to begin with. Without Norton to play Hulk and add another excellent personality to compete with Downey Jr. I really feel like this movie is just gonna feel like watching another Iron Man. I'll watch it on Netflix some day. I'm certainly not going to pay the increasingly ridiculous theater prices to go see it.
Omg has anyone seen this yet, this has to be one of the most entertaining movies i've seen in my entire life. Love when captain america told thor to put the hammer down.
I cannot believe that Avengers had two clips after the movie. One in the middle of the credits, and one at the end....I missed the second one :G
Watched this last night. Genuinely a good movie, I had heard that it was funny as well as action-y and I really feared that it would be cheesy or overdone. But nope, spot on. Great film, definitely go and see it
I literally just got home from seeing this movie, and oh my was it fantastic! Was so entertaining and so glad that they didn't shove it all into 90 mins. They gave all the characters their fair share of screen time (except Stark got the most, but I love Robert Downey Jr and he does an amazing job with Stark). But if you haven't seen it yet, THEN GO RIGHT THIS SECOND!
Honestly I seemed to have missed all of the hype, because I didnt hear about this movie until it released in theaters. I have heard many people say great things about the film though. I dont know if I'll be able to see it in theaters but I'll definitely give it a rent when it releases on DVD. I'm glad you mentioned that Tony Stark gets the most screen time. Those Iron Man movies were the best! It makes me wanna check out the other past movies too. At least Thor and Captain America.
I feel the same about the hype, it wasn't there. I was aware that the movie was coming out but knew very little about it, but still made box office records! Chrono, if you have the chance, go see it in theater! In my opinion Captain America was meh (but should still see it) and I did enjoy Thor, but there was room for improvement! But I second you on the Iron Man movies! They kicked ass haha I think if Tony Stark's personality was the way it, I probably would have hated it.
It felt like it was Iron Man 3, and RD Jr. did kind of have the more engaging moments acting wise, but I think they did a good job of giving everyone equal screen time. Of course no one could replace Norton as Hulk but nevertheless, it was still an amazing movie. The action was pretty much endless and there was hardly a dull moment so I suggest seeing it as soon as you can.
I have to disagree with you guys. I went in there expecting it to be Iron Man 3 with the Avengers, but left feeling like they all had their equal share of awesomeness. And I'm sorry, but the great white Ruffalo's Hulk greatly surpassed Norton's. Almost everyone I know thought the Hulk stole the show and even though they were skeptical at first with the change in actors, they were very pleased with Ruffalo and his portrayal of Banner.
Ehh I'm in between you two. Hulk was very good. Iron man was very good.....the rest, not so much. Thor felt like he was a bit part, and after having watched the thor movie he felt a shadow of the character he was in that. Likewise, the others just played bit parts for me.
I'm going to agree with Jonesy here. Iron Man and Hulk got their fair share of the lime light. But Thor just didn't seem to get as much attention as I would have liked. (Considering Loki is the primary antagonist and is Thor's brother). Cap could have got more screen time too imo. But overall I thought it was an absolutely brilliant movie, considering going to see it again!
