We will be holding a raffle on 3/25/2011 at 8:00PM EST. At this raffle we will be giving out 3 $20 prizes to the 3 names drawn. I know you have some questions:

What are the 3 $20 prizes?
-That is the beauty, you choose! You can choose either a $20 PSN card, $20 Points card, or $20 of hot Steam goodness.

What?! That is awesome how do I enter?
-This raffle is being held to honor our late friend Godfather. The way to be entered is simple, reply to this thread sharing one of your fondest memories of him. If you never had a chance to create any great memories with him then just reply to this thread sharing with us why you wished you could have had a chance to get to know him.

If you would like to learn more about Godfather simply either:
-Check out his profile here http://www.nexusofgaming.com/index.php?members/godfather714.82/
-Mention him to one of his friends, we would be happy to tell you all about the wonderful man that was Godfather
-Check out his obituary here http://www.asimas.com/ASIMAS/hertetrick/obituaryDescription.jsp?domain_id=285&deceased_id=221853

As a reminder all of our Godfather activities are being done to remember the good times we had, we do not want to turn any of this into something sad. Godfather was an easy going fun guy, we want to have fun in his honor.

    Additional information:
-You must have at least 15 posts on this forum (this is not being done to promote us, but rather in an effort to keep random people from signing up solely to try and win)
-The raffle drawing will be held live via webcam, probably on justin.tv or something like that, link will be in this spot on this post before the drawing is held.
-Thank the following people for each donating a $20 price: Ruone Delacroix (also thank him for coming up with the idea), DAmwake and roots.

From Mike: Just a quick note. With Microsoft points, we do realize that points values aren't quite equal to $20 in your specific currency (AUD, GBP, Euro, CND[?]). We'll work with you to get this figured out if you don't live in the US since MS points and PSN cards are region/country locked.

One of my fondest memories of C was back in WiiPals chat where on some nights, we'd be talking about some of our favorite movies. I'm pretty sure that Moose was there every time as well knowing the movie buff he is. It was always awesome just kicking back and quoting awesome movies like Snatch and Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels. There's far more we joked around about, but those are the ones that stand out for me.

You've help expand my film horizons, mate. I'll never forget that. I wish I could have known you even better in the time we've known each other.

Take care, C. You've been an inspiration to us all.

Sadly, I did not know him all that well. I knew of him and knew of his presence on PSW, but our paths never really crossed. I know I saw him in chat a few times, but the thing that sticks in my mind was that he loved Dragon Age: Origins, just about as much as I do. In fact, he got the platinum trophy for it just a few days before I did. I remember a thread on PSW about the game where Dave, C, and I pretty much had a joygasm over the awesomeness in DA:O. No one else posted in that thread because it was like three kids in a tree house looking at dirty magazines and comic books. Good times, for sure.
I do wish I would have had more time to get to know him. He seemed like an awesome guy and he had good taste in games ;) We would have gotten along well, I think.

@Adam Remember the "How to have sex with... in DA:O" Guide xD.

Does anyone else remember the CoD4 sessions we used to have and the multiple times C would rage quit on us? Or was that only me? Hahahaha *D*mn M***f**** stop camping in that d*amn f***ing room! - Rage Quit lol.

Sadly, I didnt really get to know Godfather personally but I heard a lot about him from Ruone and even seen him on his friend list. It was a shock to hear that he passed and yet, still seeing his name on the friend list. He sounded like a great guy, I would've love to have met him.

He definitely had great taste in video games. RIP.

Sounds more like Adam when he, Daev and I would play. And again with GoldenEye: Source.

He was one of the few people who truly appreciated my Arcane Warrior sex video from Dragon Age: Origins. I got a kick out of talking to him about it as he often times played with all females parties wearing no armor just so he could stare at them. I used to play KZ2 with him and honestly.. I wan't even a big fan of the game, but basically just shooting the shit talking to him while wandering around made it all worth while. It was also amusing to literally mute every single player one by one so we could just hear each other and not worry about "strategy" or something lame.

I never really got to know him much either, I did talk to him a few times in Wiipals. Every time I saw him in chat I couldn't help but to think about the "Godfather" movie. Many of us here have talked about the "good old times from wiipals" where a group of us older players would all be in chat in the mornings having a good time. C was part of those good old chat times. He was also a good sig maker.

But, I remember those matches Ley mentioned. I remember sitting on the couch (as I often do) watching David, C, Ley, Moose, Mayhem, Adam, and I'm sure there was more (just too many to keep track of) playing together one of those shooting games. Every now and then David would actually take the head set off and let me hear your conversations. Moose and him would joke around so much and just feed off each other it was just funny. I've gotten some good laughs watching you guys play. :D

I never really got a chance to get to know him. I really didn't talk much with him on wiipals. When PSW came around, I slowly started to speak with him in the chat there. I would see him and others in there, chatting, laughing and having a great time. From what I do remember seeing in there, he was someone fun to talk with.

As of right now, I never really talked much with mayhem and others from the other site, but now, I am slowly getting to know them. I don't want to chance missing out on what could be a great friend. If he were still around, I would have loved to have gotten to know him better.

unfortunately, Godfather had passed before I even joined the site. I would have enjoyed to get to know him as I have read all the fond memories from everyone else. He sounded like a great dude.

I was quite the lurker on the Nintendo Worlds forums and I hung around the chat a good bit too. It's funny, although I never really knew Godfather, I remember he always said "Hey" to me when I would come in the room. At first, I was kind of annoyed by it. I would think, "damn! who is this guy? And why won't he let me lurk in peace?" Lol! I realize now though, that's probably just the sort of guy he was: very welcoming and friendly to everyone... and I like to think that we would have been good friends.

Here's hoping that where ever he is now he's happy and having a blast!

I met that hick bastard on my first gaming forum ever joined. Nintendopals. Automatically became great friends along with our very own moose and old friend dimp.

Myself, G, Moose and Dimp use2 play Medal of Honor on the Wii 24/7 back when we were Wii fanatics. Always joking around with each other laughin it up and having a great time.

G was a person You would love to talk & game it up with. We called him "cletus" since he never told us what his first name was. XD But we knew it began with "C" Or G (godfather) or G$. He was from those southern states and he had a strong hick accent but LOVED notorious B.I.G which I found awesome and hilarious. haha

If he were alive today, he would of definitely been known in this entire community. He was that great of a person. Every time I game, I can't help but remember that funny cletus.

    TO CLETUS!!

Another fond memory was trying to see how far we could make it in Zombie Apocalypse. Either we sucked or the game was hard because we never seemed to make it all that far if we started at the beginning. But many zombies were exploded and many filthy words were spouted.

Well decided to post now. I didn't know the godfather at all, really until a few weeks ago. I asked around the forum a little to dig up some info on him(this is the only forum site I have ever really started to use. By the looks of things, reading what all of you have said, and what some of you have told me. He seems to have been an awesome guy, good taste in games, a great sense of humor(hard to find these days) and also a caring individual(from what Leezy said). I regret not being able to have the chance to have gotten to know him. All the stories I have heard are filled with laughter and joy and I truly wish I could have gotten the chance to know him. Because there is a lack of funny people in this world and it is truly sad that he was taken so early. May he rest in peace.

So I didn't know Godfather too well. Our paths crossed from time to time in chat, but we never gamed together and that makes me sad. From a lot of the stories I think we would have had some good times, and I do regret not getting to know him better.

What I do know however, is that he had an impact on a lot of the people I consider to be close friends, and I'd like to say massive props go to those involved in organising everything. It really reflects what a great guy that he was, when there is this much effort and love for him.

    Rest in Peace Godfather.
