Ok, I am one of the people who got into the Gears 3 beta a week early because I have Bulletstorm: Epic Edition, I don't know if any one else here is in, but what are peoples first impressions? My first impression is... EVERYONE IS A SHOTGUN WHORE! Seriously, throughout today, I must have been killed by a lancer or hammerburst less than 10 times, every death is accompanied by, "this douchebag killed you with a shotgun"... "that same guy killed you again... With a shotgun"... "Hey look it's another guy with a..." I think I've made my point... Also, I've noticed a lack of people utilising cover in... Y'know... A cover based shooter... And players are not using the executions, I love the executions for the sheer fact that, if a guy has been running around being a grade A douche, and I down them, my first thought is... "Hey you're the one annoying my team, well now I'm going to tear your arm off and beat you to death with it for a good 15 seconds." Any one else got opinions?
i dont have a xbox but ive seen videos from machinima showing beta gameplay looks pretty cool the capture and hold mode seems interesting instead of a flag and actual player
I fucking love gears. Gnna buy a 360 just to play it again! Wished I could of played the beta but the shotgun bullshit was going on in the others. Wasn't as bad as your describing but it was the double hit = death. You know the elbow to the face and shotgun blast your body off. That crap still in? Are they still hosting or dedicated servers? can't freakin wait though!
25th is the date it goes Public, and I will be jumping in then for sure. From what I've seen it looks ace.
There are dedicated servers this time, matchmaking runs really smooth, the only game mode is Team Deathmatch, at the moment with everyone shotgun whoring, it's a complete monkey shit fight. I'm hoping for Execution...
I assume the map is must be small right? I hope there not long distance instant killin 2 the shotgun smh... that would b epic gay.
