  1. gamer22 Pre3 Master?!

im wondering what new movies out and ones that are coming out soon would be good to be interested in

After seeing Tron Legacy, I'm pretty set for watching any new movies for awhile.

The only upcoming movie I am interested in as of right now is Deathly Hallows pt 2 but that doesn't come out until summer.

Just saw a preview for this on tv and thought id share it with yas. Its an upcomg supernatural thriller starring daniel radcliffe (harry potter) as some man moving into his dead wifes mansion I think because she passed away. Its reminds me of the others because its more of a period piece. I like these types of horror movies myself, I prefer them much more so then all the serial killer and chop chop type movies that are just for the sake of gore like saw films. Looks cool anyway, comes out feb 2.

I've seen the theatre production of this in London, (about 4 or 5 years ago now) and its absolutely amazing. They've changed it a little bit for film I think, but I'm still going to go see it.
Speaking for the stage production here, obviously the movie hasn't come out yet, one of the scariest things I've ever seen. But soooo recommendable

I don't know if I can ever picture Daniel Radcliffe in any other role than Harry Potter. It's going to be weird, but I think I could get used to it.

I felt the same about rupert grint (ron), but I think he managed it. I thought he was really good in wild target.

I honestly never could get into the harry potter films, this movie interests me more than the whole harry potter movies, I still havent even seen the final film.
    Ruone Delacroix likes this.

I feel the exact same way. I've only see the first three Harry Potter films. I've just never been too interested in the series at all. I will probably watch The Woman In Black sometime after it's released.

I think the fact I want to go to potterland, tells you how much I like the franchise. :)

I was very much like Mike and Moose in regards to Harry Potter. I actually had a job at a bookstore when the first couple books came out. I was like, "Wtf is Harry Potter? Sounds like just another lame fantasy story for tweens." I think because of all the hype it got from parents and kids I assumed I would hate it. I avoided reading any of the books. Then the first movie came out, and I decided that, since I refused to read the books- but was curious about all the hype- the movie should tell me everything I want to know about it. Due to my earlier resentment of the books I went into the movie determined to hate it, but then I heard the opening score, written by John Williams, and I immediately fell in love with it. The movie could have been a little better, but honestly, it was the music that captured my attention. I still wasn't convinced that I wanted to read the books and the second and third films, though watchable, were still not enough. In fact, it wasn't until I had seen the fourth film that I finally broke down and read the first book.

Presently, I still haven't finished the reading entire series. I'm about 3/4 through Order of the Phoenix but that's only because of lack of time (and too many video games). It's safe to say, however, that I'm a huge Potter fan and I'm not ashamed to admit it. I was determined to hate it for so long, but in the end I couldn't resist. The hype pushed me to watch the movies, the movies inspired me to read the books, and the books made me fall in love with the whole damn story. Love it or hate it, I think it's important to keep in mind that Harry Potter is a piece of literary history. The last series of books to have as massive an impact on society was called The Lord of the Rings.

That is crazy because that's exactly what happened to me! It wasnt until Goblet of Fire is when I started reading the series. I started reading Order of the Phoenix [my favorite book] then went back and reread the whole series. I still haven't watched the final movie yet >_<

Aside from the newly released Hunger Games and The Avengers, I am very interested in The Dark Knight Rises and The Hobbit. OOOOH! That new Snow White movie looks pretty badass too!

Promethius is gonna be fckn sick, cant fckn wait, im definately going to theaters for this, im also going to spider-man and batman when those come out too everyhting else is meh to me.
  15. Chrono Resident Dungeoneer

There are way too many good movies coming out this year. Its a shame I'm too broke to see them all in theaters, lol. I saw a trailer for Snow White and the Huntsman and that really caught my interest.

the new bond movie Skyfall is also very high on my list. Still waiting for The Hobbit as well ^_^

I was very interested in Snow White and the Huntsman, but then I saw Kristen Stewart's face and was immediately turned off. I don't like her acting at all, so that might just be something to watch if we're all bored and have nothing better to do.

One movie I really want to see is The Five Year Engagement. I'm a big fan of Jason Segel and he always seems like his roles' personalities are really similar to his own. But, I think that's already out of theaters now.

Prometheus is at the top of my list as well as The Dark Knight Rises and Silent Hill Revelations. Other than those, I will be seeing SkyFall in November. I'm a huge fan of all the Bond movies, and I'm sure that this one won't disappoint.

I too was put off snow white when I saw Kristen Stewart.. even before twilight, Panic Room her acting was the same, but she was supposed to play a moody awkward kid now I just think there is nothing else to her repertoire. I will however watch it, but I did kinda hope that Tim Burton would the other fairytale stories. Since I am partial to the Grimm versions rather than the Disney. I do love Disney though, but with real people I prefer dark twists to stories.

I do want to watch The Amazing Spiderman, but I am not going to expect much.
Prometheus yes, but I am not looking forward to the second one already haha.
I will watch The Dark Knight Rises, but I wont expect much.. I miss the old films too much.
And I will watch Silent Hill Revelations because I love the games, but I really didn't like the first one.. It didn't frighten me in the slightest and it's not a very difficult thing to do and the games scared the crap out of me. It was the same with the Alone in the Dark film, I just thought WTF did you do?!
The Hobbit YES I loved the book, a bit too much poetry for my taste but the writing is wonderful for a childrens story.
